Raising children. It doesn’t come with a handbook. If you have a child with learning or behavioral challenges, it can be hard to know what to do. Rethink Benefits offers a research-based program to help parents navigate parenting a child with developmental disabilities.

Through Rethink, you gain 14 hours of remote consultations annually with a Board Certified Behavioral Analyst to address specific challenges. Consultations may be divided into 30-minute increments, and may be conducted by phone or video chat.

 

Common consultation topics include:

• Detailed review of the child’s specific needs

• Addressing behavioral problems at home

• Recommendations on strategies for school collaboration

• Coping with the stress of a new diagnosis or ongoing daily struggles at home

• Recommendations regarding school delivery of Individualized Educational Plan (IEP) and community resources

Additionally, you also gain  unlimited access to Rethinks award winning platform that is filled with step-by-step videos, research based resources to teach hundreds of skills to children of all ages and abilities. The program has no age restrictions, requires no diagnosis and is completely confidential.

Rethink doesn’t replace in-home consultation or in-person therapy. Instead, it’s a benefit for you as the parent. Therapy services can help your child develop new skills and reduce behavior challenges. Rethink’s behavior experts help parents generalize the strategies and interventions to situations outside of therapy. They support collaborating with in-home or clinic-based providers and, since providers can be added as care team members on your Rethink account, you can communicate more efficiently and work on the same skills.
