Medical, Dental and Vision

• FREE employee-only coverage: SpaceX is proud to continue offering FREE employee-only coverage in 2024 for the Medical EPO (a gold-level plan), dental, and vision plans.
   

• Medical EPO: Employee-only coverage remains FREE, but contribution rates will increase by 5% in 2024 for all other coverage tiers (i.e., employee + spouse, employee + children, employee + family).
   

• Medical PPO and High-Deductible Health Plan (HDHP): Employee contribution rates for all coverage tiers will increase by 5% in 2024.
   

• Guide PPO: Employee contribution rates for all coverage tiers will increase by 25% in 2024. However, keep in mind that the Guide PPO is a platinum-level plan and will continue to be the richest plan among SpaceX’s five medical plan options. A significant increase in contribution rates for the Guide PPO was necessary to better reflect its superior plan design features.
   

• Kaiser HMO: Employee contribution rates will increase notably by 10% in 2024. If you’re looking for lower-cost alternatives, the Medical EPO and the Guide PPO are excellent options for most SpaceX employees and their families.
   

• Dental and vision: SpaceX is excited to announce that there will be NO increases to employee contribution rates for dental and vision plans in 2024.

High-Deductible Health Plan (HDHP)

• Annual Deductible: The in-network deductible will increase to $1,600/individual and $3,200/family, to comply with the minimum deductible amount set by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) for 2024.

Health Savings Account (HSA)

• HSA Contributions: For 2024, the IRS contribution limits for the HSA will increase to ​​​​$4,150 for employee-only coverage and $8,300 for family coverage.

Health Care Flexible Spending Account (FSA)

• The Health Care FSA annual contribution maximum is projected to increase by $150 to $3,200 in 2024. However, the IRS has not yet released the actual contribution limit. The final 2023 Health Care FSA contribution limit adopted by SpaceX, which may be equal to or less than the IRS limit, will be reflected in your 2024 Open Enrollment benefit event in Workday.
